Definition - (Aka aptonym)

A name that aptly describes its owner. For example, it can describe either:

(1) occupation (Larry Speakes was the Reagan administration's spokesman) or

(2) personality (Mr. Pinchpenny was a real cheapskate).

Etymology -
The word was coined by American newspaper columnist Franklin P. Adams. Though it started its existence as a joke word, it is now sufficiently respectable to have an entry in the Encyclopedia Britannica.
