Definition -
(1) The study of handwriting.

Etymology -
The term derives from the French graphologie, which was coined in 1868 by Abbé Jean-Hippolyte Michon (1806-81) from the Greek graphein, to write, plus logos, a speaking or a dealing with.

"Graphology … includes orthography, punctuation, and anything else that is concerned with showing how a language uses its graphic resources to carry its grammatical and lexical patterns."
