loanshift
Definition - A change in a word's meaning caused by the influence of another language.

Example -
The French word réaliser — which means "to bring into existence" — evolved to mean "become aware" due to the influence of the English word realise.

Oxford English Dictionary -
The term's first citation is from 1950:
"*Loanshifts in general occur most readily when there is both phonetic and semantic resemblance between foreign and native terms."
