misplaced modifier
Definition - A descriptive word or phrase that is placed incorrectly with respect to what it is supposed to modify, resulting in a sentence that is either confusing or sounds wrong.

Example -

(1) I had to take down the curtains vacuuming the house yesterday.
(Bad - it sounds like the curtains were vacuuming the house).

(2) I had to take down the curtains while I was vacuuming the house yesterday. (Good)
