past tense
Definition - The tense that is used to express actions that have happened in the past, e.g. He went to Burnaby.

Notes:
1. In English it is usually formed by adding -ed or -d to the verb's infinitive form (e.g. He planted his seed). However, some verbs form the past tense irregularly (e.g. go/went and eat/ate).

Quotation -
"The past tense, The dreary ‘Fuimus’ of all things human."
