systrophe
Definition - Describing something or someone without explicitly stating who or what it is.

Example -

Teenage girl1: (teasingly) I know someone who likes you.
Teenage girl2: (excited) Tell me! Tell me! Who is it?
Teenage girl1: (more teasingly) Well … he's on the football team.
Teenage girl2: (very excited) Oh My God! Who is it?
Teenage girl1: (relishing the systrophic opportunity) He's got a nice car….
(the dialogue continues in this way for 5 more minutes before Teenage girl2 finds out that it's the coach.)

Etymology -
The word was coined by combining the Greek syn, together, with strophe, turning (from strephein, to turn).
