verbicide
Definition - The destroying or perverting of a word's meaning.

Notes:
1. A person who performs verbicide is also called a verbicide.
2. This type of term is usually associated with a prescriptivist sensibility.

I imply from what you are saying that you don't like me.

Etymology -
The term derives from the Latin verbum, word + cida, cutter or slayer.

Oxford English Dictionary -
Its first citation in this sense is from 1858:
"Homicide and verbicide — that is, violent treatment of a word with fatal results to its legitimate meaning … — are alike forbidden."
